About the Editor

Evan A. Forte is a highly experienced public educator and school leader with a proven record of building strong relationships, leading campus-wide systems, and driving measurable student achievement. Born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, Evan is a graduate of Wilbur D. Mills University Studies High School, where he excelled as a three-sport athlete and earned the academic distinction of University Studies Scholar.

Evan is entering in his eighth year in education and serves as an Assistant Principal at John H. Guyer High School in Denton ISD. In this role, he provides leadership for instruction, operations, student support, and compliance for 2,600 students and 250 faculty and staff members.

Previously, Evan served as Assistant Principal and Academy Principal at Joe T. Robinson High School, where he supported programs that earned five state championships across athletics and fine arts. Before Robinson, Evan served as Assistant Principal at Maumelle Middle School.

Evan began his career as a teacher, coach, and dean of students in the Little Rock, Fort Smith, and North Little Rock School Districts. As part of the North Little Rock High School coaching staff, he helped guide the Charging Wildcats to a Class 7A Arkansas Football State Runner-Up finish in 2019. While on the football coaching staff at Little Rock Southwest High School, he helped guide the Gryphons to the first win in school history.

Evan holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Arkansas, a Master of Science in Sport Administration from Arkansas State University, and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Henderson State University. He is currently completing the dissertation phase of the Doctor of Education in School Leadership program at Arkansas Tech University. He holds Arkansas and Texas educator and administrator certifications and the NIAAA Registered Athletic Administrator designation.
