An E4TE Productions Project
About the Almanac
An original research project preserving and exploring Arkansas high school championship history.
Purpose
The Arkansas High School Championship Almanac organizes compiled championship records into a searchable public history. It is owned and operated by E4TE Productions, not a separate company.
What is included
Records are organized by school, championship year, sport, gender or division, and historical classification when available. School profiles include verified directory metadata and clearly mark incomplete historical profiles.
School changes and consolidations
Names are standardized only when identity is certain. Historical aliases remain traceable. Different schools with similar names are not automatically merged, while documented renames and consolidations use a stable school identifier.
Shared titles and rankings
Each school receiving a shared championship receives a school-title record. Rankings are calculated from those records using competition ranking for ties.
Research sources
The Almanac is compiled through original research using historical archives, governing-body records, specialist databases and education research. Sources used in the project include:
- Arkansas Activities Association Archives
- Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Historical Archives
- MileSplit
- Horn Rank
- Arkansas Governor's Quiz Bowl Association
- Office of Education Policy, University of Arkansas
Inclusion in this list identifies research resources used across the project. It does not imply that every organization independently verifies every Almanac record.
Limitations
Coverage begins at different times by sport. Early classifications and school metadata can be incomplete. City analysis is withheld until distinguishable city data is available. The 2020s remain an incomplete decade.
Updates
The database is designed for annual workbook imports with validation, duplicate detection and reconciliation before publication.
